The Eyeborg app is an experimental mobile application that converts colors into sounds using your smartphone's camera.

The app was developed for Android and iOS as part of a bigger multimedia project, Xip Multicolor. The project is a transmedia documentary about the life of Neil Harbisson, a real-life cyborg who has a condition that makes him see everything in black and white. Neil uses a device called Eyeborg to hear the colors instead of seeing them.

The app recreates Neil's "Eyeborg" enabling the user to experiment through the phone the same sensations Neil feels by capturing colours using the phone's camera, analyzing them and transforming them into a sound/frequency that will be played through the speaker. The app also lets you create pieces of art by putting together different sounds and colors.
